International Quilt Study Centre - Lincoln Nebraska..

Photo opportunity before leaving St Josephs
This morning we left St Joseph's and headed out to Lincoln Nebraska to visit the International Quilt Study Centre.

We entered the foyer of the museum and my god like bees to the honey pot, our ladies swarmed to the books that they had for sale.  Apparently these books are hard to purchase over the internet so everyone was making the most of being here.... Boxes and boxes came out as the frenzy continued...

Books... did someone say books....

Once the all important purchases were made we had a short talk then we were split into 2 groups  where we visited behind the scenes and showed how the quilts were stored and cared for... Upstairs we were guided through the displays..

What is a day in Nebraska without visiting a quilt shop ... so the cosmic cow it was.... more smiling faces and lighter wallets was had by all....

We then checked into our next hotel with just enough time to put the lippy on and head out to Gerry and Sarah's for supper... that was so good it deserves it's own blog entry...

I forgot to mention that we did have Karin from Norway join us for our tour of the museum and it was lovely to meet her before we see her at Sugar.
